COMMUNITY LIVESTOCK ENHANCEMENT CENTER(CLEC)

Through our business operations in Ghana, Farming In Africa has gained a profound understanding of the pivotal role that livestock farming plays in providing livelihoods and essential high-protein nutrition. However, we have observed that much of this farming activity occurs informally, utilizing outdated and inefficient techniques. Practices such as random community grazing and inadequate attention to animal nutrition, population management, and health considerations, including vaccination regimes, are prevalent.

SEMANHYIA FARMS - SUHUM, EASTERN REGION-GHANA

Following an incident in early 2024 prompting the relocation of Semanhyia Farms from its original site in Berekum-Senase(Evacuation Incident), we seized the opportunity to rebuild and reestablish our operations in Suhum, situated within the Eastern region of Ghana. Our renewed focus is to transform Semanhyia Farms into a premier destination for high-quality breeding stock and a hub for cutting-edge research and experiential learning in the realm of livestock farming.

ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION(AI)/EMBRYO TRANSFER

Farming In Africa is dedicated to revolutionizing livestock breeding practices in West Africa by harnessing the potential of exotic breeds within the region itself. This strategic approach not only promises enhanced adaptability of livestock to local environmental conditions but also presents a pragmatic solution to the logistical challenges associated with importing exotic breeds. By breeding these animals within West Africa, we aim to significantly reduce the costs and complexities of transportation, ensuring a more sustainable and economically viable livestock industry.
