SEMANHYIA LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT FARM

Our L&D Farm which is located in Suhum in the Eastern Region of Ghana serves as an authentic source of good breeding stock of livestock. The Semanhyia Farm has established its reputation as the place where breeders go to for quality livestock to set up their farms, which would eventually feed into the production of quality meat and other livestock products.
The goal is to improve the genetic quality of the breeding stock in West Africa.

FIA AGROVENTURES

This subsidiary of Farming in Africa feeds into the value chain addition by supplying all the necessary inputs needed to make a successful livestock farm. This subsidiary also caters to the needs of all kinds of farmers, whether crop farmers, fish farmers or poultry farmers. This subsidiary supplies seeds, tools, machinery, and equipment needed for successful farming.

Processing of raw materials in the value chain is of utmost importance as it adds value to the raw materials. In Farming in Africa, we have set up our Feed Solutions Centre, where we process quality and nutritious feed for our livestock. At this center, we produce Hay and our supplement feed called the FIA Livestock Feed, which is packed with macronutrients, vitamins and rich carbohydrate base to supplement the forage the livestock feed on.

FIAKARE

FiaKare acts as the service provider of Farming In Africa. FIAKare provides the expertise, training and capacity building needed for the implementation of healthy farm management practices.
Other services provided by this subsidiary are Farm set up and innovative breeding technologies such as Artificial Insemination and Embryo Transfer.

Logistics and Distribution

Logistics and Distribution are a key step in the Value Chain addition. Farming in Africa The Livestock Value Chain Intervention program, when fully implemented would take care of the Logistics and effective distribution of the products. This initiative would ensure that the first stage of the entire value chain which is production, is improved. It would also improve network efficiencies among producers, ensure market competitiveness and linkage and eventually ensure that a high end product of quality meat is produced for the market.
